Newsletter February 2026

We were lucky with the weather for our February working group. It didn’t rain. Chichester District Council had been out and cut back the islands. So we are all set for spring.

Our litter pickers worked hard around the seats and the pond and along Jubilee Path.

Mudbank clearing

We tidied up the large mudbank close to Chichester Road. It looked much smarter after we trimmed back the bushes and cleared the area by the wall. We also cleared the area next to the hedge near the Post Office.

We planted our new Hornbeam tree donated by Midhurst Rotary Club and also some donated saplings, holly, maple and beech which filled in the large gaps along that part of the woodland.

Goslings by the pond
