Newsletter August 2026

We held some extra working days in July to keep up with the growth of bindweed and brambles along the Jubilee Path. One of our trees was damaged, possibly by deer. We propped it up and hope it will recover.

In August we suspend our working days to concentrate on our community activities as part of the MADhurst Festival. We held our popular Bat Safari with the help of an expert from the Sussex Bat Group. Around 45 people came along and were able to identify several different types of bat during the evening.

We also ran our Family Day with lots of different activities for children and families. Most popular were making clay faces, natural crowns, leaf prints, natural jewellery and bug boxes.
