Starting the week commencing Monday 16th December, Chichester District Council will be working to replace the paving slabs towards the South end of the pond.
We don’t have any information about how long the process will take as the slabs will need to be pulled up to see what is underneath. Whilst the work may look unsightly for a while, it will hugely improve the drainage and visual look of this path.

Why lift the paving slabs?
As part of this project, paving slabs in certain areas will be lifted to allow a deeper investigation beneath the surface. This examination will help council engineers better understand the structural makeup and any potential issues that might affect future developments in the area. It’s a proactive approach, setting the stage for additional improvements that could transform the entire paved area in the near future.
If you have any concerns or comments please contact Chichester District Council directly.
